Olive Branch roasted pepper paste

I only have one more product from my Flowbox to try but this is the penultimate product from that box. It’s the Olive Branch Greek Mezze roasted pepper paste with fresh chillies, this is a rich looking paste with a spicy and deep scent, I couldn’t wait to try it but I didn’t know where to start.

The first way I used it was I put a little bit in a bean Bolognese, the paste added an interesting extra pepper taste to the sauce and gave it a fantastic little kick! After that I was left with quite a bit of paste and decided to use it as a pasta sauce, I quite like spicy food so I figured it wouldn’t be too much of an issue. I added it to a pan with a little unsweetened soya milk, garlic, salt and pepper, and a few herbs. After stirring in the pasta I added chopped gherkins and jalapenos (I told you I like spicy food!).

The pasta was lovely, creamy with real flavour, and very fiery. I wasn’t sure what to do with this product but in the end I was glad to have received it and that I was able to try it. Olive Branch produce other products including; gluten and dairy free biscuits, sundried tomato paste, olive tapenade, red wine vinegars among other products.

The ingredients in this paste are, roasted peppers, sun dried tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt and chili.

Have a great day!
