When I found out that Graze were offering individual packs in stores I had to buy some, the first I picked up was the 28g veggie protein power which contains black pepper cashews, spicy chickpeas and edamame beans.
Edamame beans are my favourite! The cashews were full of flavour and didn’t have too much seasoning, which is sometimes the case with black pepper. They had a perfect texture and were of a good quality. The chickpeas were not instantly spicy, I was expecting heat as soon as they touched my tongue, the flavour was good but the spice came as more of an aftertaste. The heat went deeper as I finished the pack off, the chickpeas were delicious and crunchy. The edamame beans were only salted so they were fairly plain, I liked their texture and the natural flavour of the beans, but I wished that they had a little more flavouring of some sort. This pack contains 6.9g protein and 2.8g of fibre.
Ingredients: Black pepper cashews- cashew nuts, black pepper seasoning (6%) (sea salt, black pepper, rice flour, maltodextrin, tapioca and/or maize starch, sugar, lemon juice powder, and natural flavouring. Spicy chickpeas– 33%, chickpeas, rapeseed oil, salt, and chili powder. Edamame beans– 33%, edamame beans, palm oil, and salt.
I also got an 18g box of their herby bread basket, this packet contains mini basil breadsticks, oregano rice crackers and garlic croutons.
The mini basil breadstick were absolutely delicious, there was an instant deep basil flavour. Their texture was crunchy and then just melts away, I would love a big packet of just these breadsticks. The oregano rice crackers were a bit of a disappointment, they were crunchy, herby and sweet but something about the taste didn’t agree with me. It was possibly the thyme as I know sometimes I have a reaction to this herb, but I’m not sure. If you get along well with all herbs then I’m sure you’ll enjoy these. Finally, the garlic croutons. These were exactly how you’d expect they’d be, crunchy little bites of bread which were lovely, but I would have preferred more garlic because it’s one of my favourite ingredients.
Ingredients: Mini basil breadsticks– 35%, wheat flour, sunflower oil, basil powder (6%), salt, malted barley flour, garlic powder, and sugar. Oregano rice crackers– rice, palm oil, sugar, corn maltodextrin, tapioca starch, salt, oregano powder, oregano flakes, natural flavouring, mixed herbs (thyme, marjoram, rosemary, basil), natural colours- caramel and paprika extracts, soya sauce (soya beans, wheat, salt), yeast extract, and antioxidant (Vitamin E). Garlic croutons– 30%- wheat flour, sunflower oil, extra virgin olive oil, salt, yeast, malted barley flour, garlic powder.
Graze also sell a few other varieties of their individual box, I haven’t checked if there are any other vegan ones, however, all of their range should be vegetarian. I picked up these two packs for £1.20 each in Sainsbury’s. They also come in recyclable and biodegradable packaging, which is a nice addition.
Hope you have a lovely day,
