Afternoon everyone!
I’m still on a little money saving high, having just got back in from town. Now I’m back home, away from the crowds, and back in my pyjamas I’m feeling so good that I don’t even care so much about the students upstairs howling away on their guitar. I thought I’d give you a run down of what I bought.
Firstly, and my main reason for heading to town, was having an eye test. My eyes are in the same condition they were two years ago, I don’t need to fork out for new lenses, and I had a voucher for a free test which saved me £25 straight off the bat. Awesome.
I then popped into Holland & Barrett, I had a Rewards for Life voucher to spend and decided to have a look around. I picked up hickory smoked Tofurky slices which were £2.85 as they had a very long shelf life and I’m planning to use them for sandwiches for my trip out next week, saving me buying lunch while I’m there.
I also got a tub of Granovita pate as I have bought violife spreadable for the first time and I think the two would be great together on rice cakes, I paid £1.79 for the pate.
Additionally I noticed that seaweed peanuts were reduced from 99p to 49p so I grabbed a pack of those, and finally I bought a stick of Panda blueberry liquorice, which was 65p.
After using my £4 voucher I paid just £1.78 for these items, so great value.
Next I braced myself as I dared to enter Primark on a Sunday, as someone with anxiety I find there is never really a good time to go in there, but I needed a cheap backpack for my trip next week. There were a few sale racks around so I had a little browse and bought a bit more than the backpack, but everything was really cheap. The backpack is so cute! I love the pattern, and the PVC trimming, it was reduced from £8 to £3.
I also bought a pretty little dress which I love, I actually have this dress in green, it was on sale at £1, down from £5.
As well as the dress I got a pair of cute little shoes, they have a faux suede quilted pattern, little bows on the toes, and straw around the soles. These were £2 down from £6.
Additionally, and even though Autumn is here, I picked up a pair of sunglasses. The sun was out in full force today, and I had been eyeing these a while ago. They are simple, I love this style of frame, and they are pastel mint and purple. Gorgeous! I paid 50p, the original price was £1.
Finally I got a Montagne Jeunesse mud mask, it’s the berry variety but after I got home it said it was just vegetarian, some of the ingredients could be animal derived so I am not going to use it, and instead I’m going to give it to a friend. Oh well, I paid 90p for it.
On my way back home I nipped in to The Co-Op and bought a pack of their custard doughnuts, usually 75p. I found a reduced pack for 39p because let’s face it, they aren’t going to be around for long anyway.
So that’s everything, I was really pleased with what I bought and that the combined items came to under £10, bargain!
I hope you enjoyed this post, hope you’re having a lovely day
