Coconut Collaborative yogurts

Hey guys,

How’s your week going? Today is my first day back in work and as this goes live I’m just finishing so I’m probably dead.

Today I’m going to review a range of coconut yogurts from The Coconut Collaborative. While I have bought products from this brand before, the products in this review were from a competition that I won a while ago. I’m just super late uploading this review.

Here’s what I received.

Basically a cool bag packed full of delicious coconut goodness.

Here’s a close up of the four varieties that I received, each pot is 120g.

The first flavour I tried was the blueberry variety, I really like blueberries and I hadn’t tried this one before so I was excited. It’s very fruity, a lovely colour and I enjoyed the amount of blueberry that came with it. I especially liked that the fruit cut through the richness of the coconut yogurt, this is one that I would happily eat again.

Ingredients: Live Cultured Coconut Milk Yogurt (85%) (Coconut Milk (50%), Coconut Water (45%), Cornflour, Potato Starch, Pectin (from Fruit), Selected Dairy-Free Cultures (S. Thermophilus + L. Bulgaricus, Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Bifidobacterium Lactis)), Blueberry Compote (15%) (Grape Juice Concentrate, Blueberries (39%), Water, Starch (Cornflour), Lemon Juice Concentrate, Natural Flavourings).

The second flavour I picked up was the mango and passionfruit variety, I have tried this before but I decided to not look back at my old review and approach the yogurt again with fresh taste buds. I preferred this flavour to the blueberry, and really enjoyed the combination of tropical fruits, maybe because I thought that the flavours were more suited to the base of coconut. Also the sunshine yellow is such a beautiful treat during what has been a miserable Winter. However, I didn’t like that the pips were left in and it would have been perfect if these had been removed. Despite the pips this is one that I will eat again and again.

The third variety I tried was the raspberry flavour, I had a similar experience to the blueberry pot, it was beautifully fruity and a little tangy. The fruit cut through the coconut and it made a delicious break from work to fill up on healthy food. I would happily eat this one again.

The last pot is the natural yogurt, this is another flavour which I have tried before but again I didn’t look back at my previous review. I always struggle with natural coconut yogurt, and find the ones with fruit far more palatable. I just find them so thick and rich that it’s difficult to eat more than a small amount, I also find that the fruit waters down the thickness. So I probably wouldn’t eat this one again unless I had a fruit puree or maybe even maple syrup on hand.
