Superdrug Vitamin E review

Hi everyone,

It’s the weekend, and a welcome break from work. I finally got paid which means I can finally afford shoes that don’t let in rain water, and some forks because we only have three at home. It’s the little things that matter because we are now on the way to saving for a new place and that’s very exciting.

Today I’m going to review two products from Superdrug’s Vitamin E range, one of many Superdrug own brand ranges that I love.

I am still at a loss as how to explain the smell of this range, but if you try it then you’ll know, it’s divine. The only thing it reminds me of is really nice smelling sun cream, and if that puts you off then don’t let it. It smells like long, warm summer nights. It’s delicately perfumed and the scent of each product lasts on the skin. This range, as the name suggests, is rich in Vitamin E, as well as other vitamins, which help improve your skin.

The first product is the exfoliating facial scrub, this little 100ml tube has worked wonders for my skin. I’ve been searching for a scrub which doesn’t contain microbeads, this one contains walnut shell and oatmeal. The scrub is rougher than other scrubs I’ve tried but it doesn’t irritate my skin, and after washing I am only left with the slightest bit of redness and this subsides very quickly. Whilst being coarse the scrub isn’t very full of exfoliating material and there’s plenty of creaminess to the scrub which is quite luxurious. It leaves my skin feeling super soft and, although I still have other skin problems which it doesn’t quite remedy, I am happy to add this to my skin regime.

The second product is the all over body cream, the smell of this product in the tub is a little more intense than the scrub but once you apply it to the skin the smell mellows out a little. Winter has really dried me out and I wanted something very moisturising to help me out. This pot is quite big, it’s 475ml and I feel silly holding it. The product is a cream, which is somewhere between a lotion and a butter. It’s quite thick but melts well into the skin. For a little while it sits on the top layer and feels a little greasy but a few minutes later my skin feels really soft. I like to use this after the scrub and also after shaving. The great thing is that the large tub is lasting quite a long time. I really love this product and I’m glad I found it. I paid £2.99 for each of these products.

I hope you are having a great weekend
