I’ve managed to get another post up so I’m on track for now, haha. I’ve been having a crappy week which hasn’t been made better by knowing that some pretty rubbish shifts are coming up. Tomorrow is Spock’s birthday and I’ve got him some presents, maybe he’ll even sit still for a photo or two. I doubt it, Dreamies may be involved as bribes.
Today I have a Flora review, I’m in two minds about the brand as they are owned by Unilever and they test on animals. However, this product is certified vegan and I decided make a rare purchase. It’s one of those ethical decisions that we all have to make.
The product behaves more like a butter than a spread, it’s more solid and has a nice melt to it. It also tastes better, more like a butter, it smells delicious on a crumpet. There isn’t much else to say about it, it is such a great product and it is really disappointing that Unilever make it. I will have to do some butter research and find a nicer and more cruelty free alternative.
I paid £1 for the 500g tub at Sainsbury’s
Ingredients: Vegetable Oils (Rapeseed, Palm- sustainable), Water, Salt (0.9%), Emulsifiers (Mono-and Diglycerides of Fatty Acids, Sunflower Lecithin), Citric Acid, Natural Flavouring, Vitamins A and D, Colour (Carotenes).
Hope you are having a good week, what are your opinions on buying brands which owned by animal testing parent companies?
