Morrisons garlic pizza bread

Hi everyone,

Sorry today’s post is slightly delayed. I have had a day off today which I used to go to town and pick up a vegan pizza 🙂 but I’m also coming down with something which I am gutted about because I have to work overnight tomorrow and it’s not like I can just call in sick.

At least there’s one positive, since I’ve been vegan these little bugs and viruses have disappeared much quicker than when I was vegetarian so fingers crossed that it passes before 9pm tomorrow! Also, how much does shift work suck? I have to change my sleeping pattern tonight and it’s really going to affect me mentally, my anxiety and depression are very controlled by the amount and quality of sleep I receive. I’m sure I’ll be fine but it’ll take some getting used to. One last thing, it was Spock’s third birthday yesterday and if you don’t follow me on any of my social media then I’ll leave a photo collage of what we got up to.

Also here he is at five weeks old, so sweet!

Anyway, on to today’s review, today I’m reviewing Morrison’s garlic pizza bread.

When I saw on The Vegan Womble’s Morrisons post that there’s a widely available garlic pizza bread that is vegan friendly I actually made a trip on the way home from work to buy a bunch of stuff there. I had quite a few finds including reduced Linda McCartney sausage rolls for 49p!

The pizza bread takes just 6 minutes in the oven, it’s got a thin base and quite a lot of topping. It tastes lovely, the garlic is sweet and deep and the basil is a nice touch. I found it quite moist and a little difficult to cut into slices, but that was my only issue with it. I would eat it again but as Morrison’s don’t deliver to my address (despite me living a ten minute drive from the store) obtaining more will involve another long winded post work bus trip.

I paid ÂŁ1.37 for the 255g pizza bread, which is quite good value.

Ingredients: Fortified Wheat Flour (Wheat Flour, Iron, Thiamin, Nicotinic Acid, Calcium Carbonate), Water, Rapeseed Oil, Palm Oil, Garlic Purée (2.9%), Yeast, Dextrose, Salt, Basil, Wheat Protein.

I hope you have a great weekend, wish me luck for my night shift!
