It’s Wednesday and I’m pretty happy about only working three days this week, I have a four day weekend ahead and have plans with family and friends. I’m also working hard on saving money to move and eating all the food that I’ve already bought before buying more tasty treats.
Today’s review is of Perkier’s cacao and cashew quinoa bar. This bar is a natural source of fibre, protein, and omega 3. It’s gluten free and vegan. The quinoa contains protein, fibre and vitamins. The cacao is cold pressed meaning that it’s vitamins, minerals and antioxidants are preserved. I found that it doesn’t taste as much like health food as it looks and sounds, the fruit isn’t too noticeable, the cacao is not too strong but offers a light chocolate taste. The texture is crispy and crunchy but also a little soft and chewy, sort of like a marshmallow crispie. I think this bar would be really nice with a cup of tea or coffee. It’s scrumptious and I definitely need to go back and buy more.
