It’s Friday! I’m up too early because my cat likes to cry at me in the morning until I get up, then he goes to sleep. I went to see a house yesterday but I’m on the fence about it because the fees are quite high and we’d basically be living in someone’s house with all their furniture until they come back from living abroad. It’s a little weird. I only have one day left in work this week and then I can spend the weekend with my husband and family.
Today’s review is on Sainbury’s meat free mince.
This is probably going to be a short review because I don’t have too much to say about the product. It comes in a fairly large bag which allowed me to use it to make 4 meals. I was excited to use it because I am quite partial to a spaghetti bolognese and as much as I like adding beans to my tomatoes, sometimes it’s nice to mix things up once in a while. The mince is very easy and quick to cook, I advise starting the pasta first because it takes a while longer to cook than the mince. The mince is a decent size, not too large and not too small. It has a little chewiness to the texture which I really enjoyed, it absorbs the flavours added to it well. I’ve been experimenting with flavours in my bolognese and at the moment I am loving adding a little spoon of Marmite to the tomatoes. Delicious. Overall, I just think this is a great product which I would use again and again. I paid £1.50 for the 454g pack, so it’s also quite cheap.
