It’s Friday and I’m most of the way through an 11 hour shift with a night shift to look forward to tomorrow. Yay!
Today I have a recipe for you, I haven’t cooked too many meals from scratch recently because I hate my kitchen, my oven smokes no matter how much I clean it and I don’t want to set the fire alarm system off. However, since I’d had luck cooking the apple pie I thought I’d risk making some buffalo cauliflower wings because I’ve always been curious.
I found this recipe and decided it looked easy enough. I have listed the ingredients below for your conveience.
1 head of cauliflower
1/2 cup non-dairy milk
1/2 cup water
3/4 cup all-purpose flour (can substitute for gluten-free rice flour)
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp cumin
1 Tbsp of paprika
1/4 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp ground pepper
1 Tbsp Earth Balance buttery spread
1 cup Frank’s red hot sauce
They didn’t turn out perfectly, but it was my first attempt. The batter mixture didn’t stick very well to the pieces of cauliflower and I didn’t cook them long enough with the sauce to get that deep burnt exterior seen in the recipe. However, they were really delicious and I’d love to have another go at making them.
I’ll leave you with some photos of my cooking adventure.
Hope you’ve had a great week,
