Nairn chocolate biscuit breaks

Hi everyone,

I have a night shift tonight which I am not looking forward to but I’m sure I’ll make it through. I’m also being sent to another hospital next week and I’m very anxious about it.

Today I’m going to review some biscuits from Nairn, their chocolate biscuit breaks.

The biscuits come in four packs of four biscuits which is very handy for on the go snacking. The biscuits are very much like breakfast biscuits but thinner. They are sweet, crunchy and melt away as you eat them. They have a real oaty taste and you don’t notice that the oats are gluten free like you do with some of their other products. The biscuit is a nice subtle chocolate which is great because the chips pack a deeper chocolate flavour. The chips give an almost creamy feel to the whole mix. I found that the biscuits had a similar sort of feel and taste to a chocolate digestive and they were pretty delicious. I reckon they would be lovely dipped in a cup of tea or coffee. I paid £1.75 for the pack at Sainsbury’s and I would buy them again.

Ingredients: Wholegrain Oats (54%), Dark Chocolate Chips (15%) (Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Cocoa Butter, Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin, Natural Vanilla Flavouring), Sustainable Palm Fruit Oil, Demerara Sugar, Dietary Fibre, Partially Inverted Syrup, Dark Chocolate Powder (3%) (Sugar, Cocoa Mass, Fat Reduced Cocoa Powder), Tapioca Starch, Raising Agents (Ammonium Bicarbonate, Sodium Bicarbonate), Natural Flavouring, Sea Salt.

Hope you have a great weekend,
