Hi everyone,
It’s Friday! I have a short shift today but I’m not too excited because I’m working a long shift tomorrow. Boo 😦
Today I have a short review for you about a vegan pizza I recently ate, the VBites meatless feast pizza.
This little 7″ pizza is perfect for one person, with mince, ham and pepperoni on top. Although, looking at the photos online it looks like mine may have come without the ham. There wasn’t enough tomato sauce and it was quite dry, and there wasn’t enough cheese on top. The toppings were a little spicy, even the mince. The mince is soft and melts away and the crust is crispy. I must admit that I much prefer their little pastry pizzas which come in the party pack. I’ve also eaten much better pizzas at Zizzi’s and Popty Pizza, but if you want convenience then where I come from there isn’t much choice as we don’t have evening vegan takeaway pizza, especially with cheese on it. I paid just over £3 for the pizza at a Costcutter.
Ingredients: Pizza base (Wheat Flour, Water, Sugar, Sugar Beet Pulp, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Yeast, Salt, Malted Barley) Water, Tomatoes, Non-Hydrogenated Vegetable Fat (Sustainable Palm), Wheat Gluten, Tomato Puree, Soya Protein, Potato Starch, Rapeseed Oil, Herbs, Salt, Onions, Thickeners: Carrageenan, Locust Bean Gum, Methyl Cellulose; Textured Wheat Protein, Yeast Extract, Natural Flavourings, Wheat Fibre, Sugar, Dried Yeast, Calcium Phosphate, Spices & Spice Extracts, Onion Powder, Garlic Puree, Black Pepper, Preservative: Potassium Sorbate; Garlic Powder, Malt Extract, Natural Colours: Carotene, Iron Oxide.
Hope you have had a great week, let me know what your favourite vegan pizza toppings are below.
I’ve seen these and yet to try one. Did the cheese melt? Like stringy melt? I was recently in the states and had some Tofurkey pizza and they were so good, as were takeaway pizza from mellow mushroom and Spazzios. Both used Daiya cheese. I’ve tried making my own here but the cheese always seems to be the hardest part.
Thanks for the review. I will have to give it a go.

The cheese sort of warms up but I wouldn’t say that it’s stringy, gooey mozzarella type cheese. Good luck finding a nice cheese for pizza, let me know if you find the perfect one 🙂
