Happy Saturday everybody!
I’m working a long shift today but I’m looking forward to a day off tomorrow, hopefully it’ll be quiet in work and I can do some planning and reading.
Today I have another skincare review for you, this time it’s Fit Pit’s ethical deodorant.
I usually use aerosol deodorant but when I spotted this little pot of cream deodorant on Laurel and Cedar I decided to give it a go. I was a little worried about putting baking soda on my underarms because I’ve heard that it can irritate sensitive skin. This brand is free from aluminium, parabens, BPAs, petrochemicals and plastic packaging. It’s also 100% organic and suitable for vegans. The product is handmade in the UK and comes in a little glass jar which can be recycled. The one that I bought has a rosemary and bergamot scent which is fresh and clean.
The bicarbonate of soda is supposed to adjust your skins pH to prevent bad smells and the oils and butters provide moisture. It’s not an anti antiperspirant so you will still sweat, but this also means that your sweat glands aren’t blocked by chemicals. So with all those great benefits, how does the product shape up?
It’s actually great, if not a little annoying to apply with long nails. The cream melts as you apply it and you can feel a little of the baking soda but it isn’t irritating. You can instantly smell the fresh scent as you apply it. I did sweat while using it but the smell was dramatically reduced and despite it not being an antiperspirant I also noticed that my underarms weren’t as wet as I expected. You only need a small amount and the 25ml pot is supposed to last for three weeks. I paid £3 for the product and I definitely think that it’s worth it.
