Yesterday was a long day and this morning I was very tired but I’ve been back at work today. There isn’t going to be a book review post for July because I only read one book before I started my massive book on Autism which I still haven’t finished. I hope to finish it this month and have a larger book review for August.
Today’s review is the last of my samples from Naturisimo, this time it’s Juice Beauty.
Juice Beauty is cruelty free and vegan, with the exception of a few products which contain beeswax. I got the cleanser, serum and moisturiser and used them all one after another. I paid £1 for the trio pack, with each pack being 2ml.
The blemish clearing cleanser, this product is especially designed for oily, combination and blemished skin types. It prevents blemishes, deeply cleanses and removes impurities. I found the cleanser very thin, and it gently foams up as you use it. It has a bit of a citrus scent which I found pleasant. I don’t think it did as great a job as some of their other cleansers that I’ve tried and I didn’t find it particularly hydrating, even if it claims to be. The full sized product is £21 for 200ml.
Ingredients: Organic juices of citrus medica limonum (organic lemon juice), prunus avium (organic sweet cherry juice), vitis vinifera (organic white grape juice), aloe barbadensis (organic aloe leaf juice), decyl glucoside, lauryl glucoside, vegetable glycerin, sodium hydroxide, potassium sorbate, xanthan gum, sclerotium gum, sodium levulinate, benzyl alcohol, phenoxyethanol, organic botanical extracts of salvia officinalis (organic sage leaf extract), taraxacum officinale (dandelion leaf extract), melissa officinalis (lemon balm leaf extract), algae extract, tocopherol (Vitamin E), retinyl palmitate (Vitamin A),tetrasodium glutamate diacetate, sodium anisate, litsea cubeba (may chang), citrus aurantium amara (organic bitter orange) and cananga odorata (ylang ylang) pure essential oils.
The blemish clearing serum is meant to detoxify the skin, clear blemishes and even out skin tone and texture. It’s designed for oily, acne prone and hormonal skin. This was another watery product which is quite annoying when this one was applied to my dry face and not in the shower. It takes a bit of time to dry, feeling sticky first, and then becomes very drying. They do warn about this and advocate using the moisturiser afterwards. I felt my skin was tight and a little uncomfortable. The full sized product is £27.50 for 59ml.
Ingredients: Organic juices of pyrus malus (organic apple juice), vitis vinifera (organic white grape juice), punica granatum (organic pomegranate juice), aloe barbadensis (organic aloe juice), vegetable glycerin, simmondsia chinensis (organic jojoba seed), sesamum indicum (organic sesame seed), cetearyl alcohol, cetearyl glucoside, hydroxypropyl starch phosphate, persea gratissima (avocado), citrus aurantifolia (lime), caprylyl glycol, capryl hydroxamic acid, ethylhexyl (octyl) palmitate, xanthan gum, organic botanical extracts of cucumis sativus (organic cucumber extract), salvia officinalis (organic sage leaf extract), taraxacum officinale (dandelion leaf extract), melissa officinalis (lemon balm leaf extract), algae extract, panthenol (Vitamin B5), ascorbyl palmitate (Vitamin C), sodium PCA, tetrasodium glutamate diacetate, sodium hyaluronate (vegetable hyaluronic acid), sodium hydroxide, citrus aurantium (sweet neroli) and cinnamomum camphora (ho wood) pure essential aromas.
I hope Monday has been kind to you,
