Rio Rosa Mosquetta exfoliator review

Hi everyone,

It’s bank holiday Monday and I’ve been working since 10:15 this morning, with four more hours to go so it’s safe to say that I’m probably very tired. I spent yesterday stuffing my face and exercising, and just generally sorting things out. I’m really not looking forward to this week because where I work they start the week on Sunday so I am working most of this week and the whole weekend. I’m sure I’ll get through it.

Today I’m reviewing Rio Rosa Mosqueta’s skin brightening exfoliator.

Rio Rosa Mosquetta is a cruelty free company, and although I don’t know if all their products are vegan, this scrub is listed as vegan online. All their products contain rosehip oil and other plant extracts which help to fight the ageing of skin. This exfoliator scrub contains bamboo powder so no micro beads which can be damaging to the water system. It’s supposed to be a gentle scrub with avocado and shea butter for added nourishment and hydration.

I absolutely love this scrub, it smells mostly of shea butter and it really is gentle. Despite the grains being small you can really feel it working and afterwards the skin is super soft. While it didn’t get rid of a couple of larger patches of dried skin (and I didn’t expect it to) it worked well on the rest of my face. It didn’t irritate my skin and left no redness behind. I now use this three times a week, and a moisturiser afterwards. The 100ml tube retails for around £9 online, which is a little expensive for me as this was a gift, I’m currently on the fence as to whether I would buy another tube for myself but this is a monetary problem, not a problem with the product effectiveness.

Ingredients: Aqua, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol (from coconut), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Glycerin, Hydrated Silica, Glyceryl Oleate, Coco-Glucoside, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Rosa Rubiginosa (Rosa Mosqueta) Seed Oil, Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Caprylyl Glycol, Bambusa Arundinacea (Bamboo) Stem Powder, Bambusa Vulgaris (Golden Bamboo) Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Chamomile) Flower Extract, Xanthan Gum, Glycine Soja Oil, Equisetum Arvense (Horsetail), Tocopherol, Lactic Acid, P-Anisic Acid.

Hope you had a lovely weekend,
