Salt of the Earth natural deodorant review

Hi everyone,
I can’t believe that it’s September tomorrow, this year has sped by! Today was supposed to be my August book review but I couldn’t get my mind to sit still and think about the books that I’ve read this month. I don’t know why I’m feeling so anxious this week but I’m just trying to make it through til Monday because I’m also exhausted and I only have one day off between here and then which will be entirely spent with family.
So instead I am reviewing the Pure Aura women’s natural deodorant from Salt of the Earth.

I feel like I have a ridiculous amount of deodorants to try, I’m not sure if people are trying to tell me that I smell but I am glad for the opportunity to try different types of deodorants which are less harmful than my regular antiperspirant.

This product is 100% natural, certified vegan and cruelty free. It’s free from aluminium chlorohydrate, alcohol, parabens and triclosan. It’s supposed to provide long lasting protection and leave no white marks. This is the brands’ first scented product, with a fusion of over 15 natural extracts and oils, however it’s marketed as being scented with lavender and vanilla. The way this deodorant works is that it contains mineral salts which inhibit the growth of body odour causing bacteria. The application is a spray nozzle and I’ve never used a deodorant of this form before.

I find it slightly uncomfortable to spray a liquid on my underarms because this product takes a while to dry, so it’s not great if you’re in a rush and have to leave with wet underarms. It dries to a barely noticeable layer which isn’t uncomfortable to wear. The scent is beautiful, sweet and floral with a hint of citrus, although the scent does wear off throughout the day it is a boost to spray it in the morning to start the day. I haven’t noticed any white marks on my clothing but I wouldn’t say that it completely stops odours. I work in full clothes with a heavy lab coat over the top for at least 8 hours a day and at the end of the day I find that the lovely scent of this product hasn’t lasted and that I smell a little body odour and that’s a bit disappointing for me. However, I will keep using it for a bit because maybe it needs a little time for my body to adjust to it. You can buy the deodorant for around £6 online if you fancy giving a natural deodorant a go.

Ingredients: Aqua (water), Potassium Alum, Polyglyceryl-10-Laurate (natural solubilizer), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Sclerotium gum (natural thickener), Parfum (from botanical extracts and oils), Lonicera Japonica (Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, p-Anisic Acid (from star anise or Indian basil), Citric acid, Linalool, Limonene, Citronellol.

Hope you are having a great week,
