I’ve been working all day today, and I’m back in Sunday but at least I can catch up on sleep tomorrow because I am exhausted. Getting up at 6am and leaving for work before the sun has risen is not great. Nothing has really happened this week so I don’t have much to talk about so here’s Friday’s review.
Today I’m reviewing Superdrug’s Vitamin E Radiance Moisture Cream.
This moisture cream is part of their Vitamin E range and contains light reflecting pigments with the aim of achieving glowing skin in an instant. It’s supposed to moisturise your skin for 12 hours (an effect of the multivitamin complex in the cream) and also protect your skin from the sun’s rays. Vitamin E protects against free radicals and therefore this product should also prevent premature ageing.
I found that the cream comes out of the tube quite thick but it applies well, and thins with the heat of the skin. It has that same warming, almost sun cream like scent which reminds me of summer. As I rubbed it into my face I found that it dries quite quickly, becoming a little sticky before it finishes drying. When it’s fully dry my skin felt very soft, but I didn’t notice any improvement in the dry patches on my face. I didn’t feel like it worked any better than any other moisturising cream that I’ve tried in the past but that wasn’t my main issue with the product.
I really didn’t like the glitter in the cream, I feel like a radiance product should enable the skin to be naturally radiant but this product leaves a glittery sheen on the face that I wasn’t comfortable with. The parts where I wasn’t too careful about rubbing it in (like my hairline) were left with yellow glittery patches that didn’t look fantastic. I much prefer the glow I get from their Naturally Radiant range, which doesn’t involve applying glitter to my skin. I persevered with the cream for a week to see if my feelings changed but by this point my skin had had enough and was breaking out, especially across my forehead. I was quite annoyed by this cream and I won’t be using it again, I’ve actually thrown it away.
I paid £2.99 for the 50ml tube.
Hope you’ve had a fantastic week,
