Cocoa Libre Orange Chocolate Review

Hi everyone,

I worked late last night and I am back in work today so I am pretty tired. My next day off is Wednesday and I have booked myself another massage as a treat, I can’t wait.

Today I’m reviewing Cocoa Libre’s orange chocolate.

I didn’t realise but Cocoa Libre is a fairly small company, run a mother whose kids developed a dairy allergy. It was her aim to fill a gap and make chocolate which her children could eat, so you know that a lot of love has gone into the products. The chocolate is made with rice powder as an alternative to milk, and in my experience chocolate made with rice is my favourite kind of chocolate. The bars are handmade and have even won awards. They are dairy, nut, gluten and wheat free.

I spotted this bar online at Sainsbury’s and got so excited, I do love my free from bars and they are cheap but it’s nice to buy a special treat once in a while. Even the packaging is beautiful and looks premium. I found the chocolate a little hard to start with but not to hard to bite into. It starts to melt quickly in the mouth, becoming creamy and smooth. The flavour is sweet and full of strong orange. This bar is absolutely delicious and there isn’t anything else to be said about it. I paid £2 for the 50g bar and my only issue is that I wish the bar had been bigger.

Ingredients: Sugar, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Mass, Rice Powder (Rice Syrup, Rice Flour) 13.5%, Dietary Fibre (Inulin), Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin, Natural Vanilla Flavouring, Natural Cocoa Flavouring, Orange Oil.

Hope you’ve had a lovely weekend,
