Nakd Nibbles Review

Evening everyone,

Well last week was eventful, we handed in the keys to our last house meaning that all that is finally over. We also bought a new TV on Black Friday, had our family around to see the new house and I came down with something that I hope clears up before my operation next month. The good news is that the downtime enabled me to finish Christmas shopping, although I don’t think my bank account would agree.

Today I’m reviewing three flavours from Nakd’s nibbles range.

I find it funny that I used to despise Nakd bars, but I guess that as an adult you take a while to get used to eating something, and I now I love them. As with all of Nakd’s products the nibbles are dairy free, vegan, wheat and gluten free, kosher, low in saturated fat, no added sugar, GM free and one of your five a day. The nibbles are like the bars but in bite size form.

The first pack I tried was the salted caramel, I absolutely love this flavour combination so I was pretty excited. I wasn’t disappointed, this flavour is lovely. Sweet and rich with a saltiness behind it. I even think these would be great on the Christmas party table.

Ingredients: Dates (54%), Cashews (24%), Raisins (18%), Rice Flour, Salt and a hint of natural flavouring.

The second pack I tried was the coconut bliss, I wasn’t too fussed on these because I got a slight soapiness from the coconut, they were sweet but just not for me which left me a little sad because I love coconut.

Ingredients: Dates (48%), Cashews (24%), Raisins (18%), Cocoa (4%), Toasted Coconut (4%), Rice Flour and a hint of natural flavouring.

The final pack I tried was the toffee treat, I loved these, maybe even more than the salted caramel. They have a strong, rich and deep toffee flavour which almost tastes like dairy. They don’t taste too sugary, they are just simply delicious.

I packed 75p each for the 40g packets at Tesco. I think they’d be great for kids as a snack and they are easy to carry around with you. I am excited to try the tooti fruity, fruit salad and strawberries and cream flavours next.

I hope you’ve had a brilliant start to the week,

  1. I think I’d much prefer the toffee ones by the sounds of it. I tried the salted caramel ones but (as with a lot of salted caramel things) they weren’t quite salty enough. I remember having handmade salted caramel ice cream in Wales way before the flavour was popular and it was amazing! Rather like peanut butter and jam if you know what I mean?
